The District Education Department Rawalpindi has served a final notice to 400 government and private educational institutions for not taking security measures as per the SOPs set by the Punjab government.

The development came after the police Special Branch and the district administration was concerned over the security arrangements taken by the educational institutions across the district.

Despite the issuance of clear warnings to all educational institutions by the Punjab government, most private and government schools have failed to put up proper security arrangements including security guards, CCTV cameras, barbed wires and high boundary walls.

District Education Department Rawalpindi security matters incharge Akhlaq Ahmed told Online that the educational institutions will be sealed if they failed to ensure the required security within one week.
