EU CONSIDERS TO CONTINUE SUPPORT FOR PROMOTION OF EDUCATION IN SINDH
KARACHI: The European Union (EU), having share in large number of development and humanitarian projects in Pakistan with major focus on betterment of education and vocational training, is considering to continue its support for development of education in Sindh.
This was revealed on Wednesday in a recently published 3rd addition of quarterly Newsletter titled "Reformers" by the Reform Support Unit (RSU), of Sindh Ministry for Education and Literacy.
The publication also discussed number of initiatives and incentives taken by the RSU for betterment of education and increase enrolment in the schools throughout the Sindh province.
It also pointed out that RSU has also conducted the Standardized Achievement Test (SAT), to judge the performance and learning outcomes of students of grades V to VII in all the public sector schools.
Utilization of Schools Specific Budget (SSB), in accordance with the notified SSB guidelines and prescribed rules has also been discussed in Reformers.
The RSU has further elaborated its efforts made in line with the 18th Constitutional Amendment to increase the enrolment in schools in Sindh as well as to reduce the dropout ratio.
The newsletters also published the portraits of the buildings of historic importance with the objective to create awareness among the readers regarding rich culture and norms of Sindh province.
