BAHAWALPUR - The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) vice chancellor and German Ambassador in Pakistan Ms Ina Lepel discussed new avenues for educational collaboration between IUB and German universities.
in a meeting held at Abbasia Campus, Vice Chancellor Dr Qaiser Mushtaq appreciated the cooperation extended by Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation to the university for promotion of research. The organisation has provided advanced equipments to Chemistry Department besides provision of scholarships.
The ambassador appreciated the recent jump of IUB in Higher Education Commission ranking from 51 to 11 position and offered assistance for teaching German language, faculty exchange, scholarships and collaboration in research.
Mushtaq thanked the ambassador for visiting IUB, and said that university has shown tremendous progress in academic field as research culture is flourishing and being encouraged.

Implementation of new academic calendar, partial closure of evening classes having high tuition fee and their conversion into morning classes on regular rates have been highly praised by the parents.
