BEACONHOUSE HIGH ACHIEVERS CEREMONY 2016
Islamabad—Beaconhouse School System Northern Region hosted its high achievers ceremony at the Convention Centre, Islamabad on March 19, 2016. More than 670 students received awards for academic brilliance in their Matriculation and O & A Level Cambridge International Examinations. Thirty distinction holders in the CIE 2015 O & A Level Examinations were acknowledged at the ceremony, which was attended by more than 1000 people including families and teachers.
Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Mr Sartaj Aziz was the chief guest. Renowned educationist and psychiatrist Dr Mowadat Hussain Rana was the keynote speaker at the event. Other distinguished guests included CIE Country Director, Pakistan Ms Uzma Yusuf; Chairmen of the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Peshawar and Mardan; the honourable ambassadors of Argentina, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Thailand, Rus-sia, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan; and students, parents and teachers.
Sixty-five students who secured top positions in different international and local co-curricular events were also awarded at the ceremony. In his welcome address, Executive Director North Mr Nassir Kasuri congratulated the high achievers, thanked the parents for their continued support and expressed his appreciation for the teachers’ ceaseless commitment.
The chief guest acknowledged Beaconhouse School System’s services in the field of education and urged the stu-dents to continue working hard for themselves and for their nation. He presented awards to distinction-holders and congratulated Beaconhouse and all the students and their parents. The ceremony included musical performances by Beaconhouse students from various campuses, which highlighted the spirit of holistic education that Beaconhouse has consistently supported and nurtured.
