LAHORE (Staff Report) – Private schools in Punjab capital city are likely to be closed for two days after Pakistan Education Council announced a strike on Sunday.

According to Council’s spokesperson, the A-category schools will not open on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The spokesman also demanded of the Punjab government to reverse its decision of forming an Education Authority.

However the All Pakistan Private Schools Association president denied the call for strike. Mr Adeeb Jawedani also confirmed that the schools will remain open as the examinations are continued.
