Keeping up: CADD minister vows to upgrade public schools

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for pital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhary said it was golden period for capital’s public schools as they were being equipped with the well educated teachers and modern technologies.

Speaking on a convention at Islamabad Model College for GirlsF/6-2 on Friday, he said the upgradation of infrastructure and soft components of all 422 public schools and colleges of the capital through Prime Minister’s Education Reforms Program was my responsibility.

“I had been studying in capital schools and it was my pleasure to serve them on the directives of prime minister,” he said adding that the standard of education in the capital’s public schools was very good and are a role model for schools all over the country.

Addressing the students, he said that world is changing rapidly and “we have to skill our teachers and students in this era of information and knowledge to compete globally”.

To achieve this target, Chaudhary said, the role of students and teachers was also important besides the government.

He said that 200 new buses would be provided for the capital’s schools aiming to facilitate students with safe and peaceful journey.

While distributing the certificates and prizes among the graduate female students, he congratulated the parents of the students and said the role of women was very vital in building a society.

Minister of State while appreciating the services of the college principal Professor Maimoona Zafar, assured her to resolve all issues of the college.
