RELAXATION IN UPPER AGE LIMIT FOR SPECIAL STUDENTS

KARACHI: On the directives of Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan, the Board of Intermediate Education has exempted the gap restriction period of five years for Intermediate classes for special students, (having any kind of disability) with immediate effect.

Meanwhile, the Board of Secondary Education Karachi has also allowed relaxation in upper age limit up to five years for enrollment in secondary classes for such students, with any disability.

This decision has been taken by both the boards keeping in view various requests by parents of such students that their children are slow learner and they require time to take examinations.

In order to facilitate special children intending to continue their education and as an effort to make them a functional part of the society, both boards have taken this decision, an official statement said here on Monday.
