Police focus on schools’security
KASUR
In order to fully implement National Action Plan, foolproof security arrangements would be ensured at all educational institutes based on targeted search operations and no leniency would be tolerated, said the district police.
Addressing a meeting of SHOs in his office, the district police officer of Kasur directed the field officers to conduct mock exercises of Quick Response Force (QRF) and panic buttons which had already been installed in education institutions.
He directed that the QRF response time must be five to seven minutes. The field officers were directed to continue with the security monitoring of the educational institutes, besides maintaining a constant liaison with the administration and heads of schools, colleges across the district.
He directed the SHOs to inspect security arrangements made by educational institutions in their respective areas. SP (Investigations) Baqa Muhammad Bugti, DSP City Muhammad Saleem, DSP Saddr Mirza Arif Rashid, DSP Chunian Quddus Baig, DSP Pattoki Ali Akhtar, DSP Legal Sh Fayyaz Ahmed and DSP Headquarters attended the meeting.
The meeting took overall view of crime and law and order situation in the district. The DPO warned the SHOs to strictly deal with drug dealers, pub houses, gambling dens and illegal weapons dealers. “Officers showing good results will be awarded while negligent ones will have to face departmental enquiry,” he said. He emphasized upon all SDPOs and SHOs to arrange open courts in their respective areas and ensure provision of justice at people’s doorsteps. He pledged to purge the police department of corrupt and coward officials and urged upon his subordinates to eliminate criminals from the district.
