700 ACADEMICIANS, RESEARCHERS TO ATTEND AIOU CONFERENCE
Tuesday, January 26, 2016 - Islamabad—Around 700 academicians and researchers from home and aboard would to attend two-day International conference on research and practices in education.
Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will hold the conference. Senior academicians Dr. Lynn Fendler from Michigan State University US and Dr. Jean B. Hache, honorary professor University De Montreal, Canada will be the key-note speakers.
The conference being organized by the Faculty of Education will cover wide-ranging subjects relating to formal, non-formal and special education from secondary to high-level.
Major purpose of the conference is to provide researchers and practitioners a platform to present their recent work and to interact with fellows in a global community of practice, said Vice Chancellor Prof.Dr. Shahid Siddiqui.
It will also help to highlight innovative methods and modes of research around the world and to identify the ways of connecting the learners and instructors through internate and build a safer environment of ubiquitous education.
Dr. Shahid Siddiqui hoped the event will also help to foresee what the future of education in the coming decades.
It is part of ongoing effort to boost research-based academic activities and develop University’s character as an innovative and creative institution, he added.
