PAKISTAN BOUNDS TO SUCCEED: AIR CHIEF
ISLAMABAD: Air Chief Marshall, Sohail Aman on Sunday that Pakistan was bound to succeed and emerged as the top most nation of the world.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Fazaia Medical College, he said that he had no doubt in his mind that Pakistan would emerge as the best ever nation.
Chairman Higher Education Commission, Mukhtar Ahmed, Vice Chancellor Air University Faiz Mir, Principal Fazaia Medial College, Maj General Salman Ali, Chairman Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, principals and VCs of other colleges and universities were also present on this occasion.
He called on the students that being change agent and future of the country, they should strive hard to cherish their dreams into reality. "How humble and small your beginning in academic career yet you can achieve your desire if you have determination".
Air Chief said that achievement were possible only thorough unity,perseverance and strong determination.
He said that menace of terrorism was eliminated only when the nation showed unity and resolved and determination, adding international community acknowledge and wonder on our achievement against terrorism in such a short span of time.
He called on students that medicine was not only profession but it was commitment to serve the humanity and destitute. "Accept the challenge and move forward, you are most important component of the unity".
He said that teaching and medicine were the most noble profession as both values of humanity.
He congratulated the faculty staff and VC for realizing the dream of establishing medical college in such short span of time. "Dream are ones that keep you awake".
He said that Pakistan Air Force as a whole had always valued education and was giving new horizon to Air University. He said there are large number of educational institutions and organizations that were being run and facilitate by officials of Pakistan Air Force.
He said about children of lowest cadres of the society were getting education in 24 Fazaia schools in the country.
Air Chief emphasised on the new horizon of linking academia with industry for creating more jobs in the country.
Chairman HEC Mukhtar Ahmed said Muslim countries were lagging behind in the field of science and technology as they did not pay due importance to education and research, adding now Malaysia, Indonesia and Pakistan are investing in education sector and focusing on higher education through establishment of more universities.
He stressed the need of establishing bio-medical profession in Air University by linking medical university with other faculties available in the university.
He said that young generation was talented and would be better able to lead the country when equipped with quality education both in social and pure science.
Vice Chancellor of Air University, Faiz Mir said that vision of Fazaia Medical College was to give best education in field of medical, dentistry and research.
He thanked Air Chief Marshall, Sohail Aman for his cooperation and support in the set-up of medical college.
Principal Fazaia Medical College, Maj Gen Salman Ali said that education under the armed force were inline with the concept given by Allam Iqbal.
He highlighted the importance of purposeful and meaningful education in order to serve the country and humanity in best manner.
