KARACHI: New courses including Bachelor’s of business administration, Master’s of business administration and management courses for engineers will soon be introduced at Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET), said the university’s chancellor Jawaid Anwar on Thursday. “The admission process is going through its last phase and the merit list has been issued,” he said. “Admissions have been successfully done on pure merit through a transparent procedure.” The admission process will be completed soon and SSUET’s academic session will start on January 8, he pointed out. January 8 is the day of great importance in the history of South Asia because on this day, Mohammadan Anglo Oriental College was founded in Aligarh by Sir Syed Ahmed Khan that set the direction of Muslims of sub-continent towards scientific education, he added.
