30 FEMALE TEACHERS TO VISIT CHINA FROM MONDAY
Friday, November 20, 2015 - Islamabad—Thirty female teachers from different educational institutions will pay a two-week visit to China from Monday under Sino-Pak friendly exchange programme, as a part of ongoing efforts to strengthen people-to-people contacts at the students and academia level.
The visit was arranged by the Chinese Embassy to familiarize the teachers with the Chinese education system and explore the educational opportunities for the Pakistani students.
Highlighting the importance of China-Pakistan economic corridor (CPEC), she said the two countries need to open educational Corridor as well, which is most important to push forward socio-economic development and improve the living conditions of their people. Madam Bao said a good number of Pakistani students were being sent to China every year, hoping on their return home they will contribute to CPEC. Madam Bao Jiqing said there are several advantages of going to Chinese universities for Pakistani high-school graduates. These included the advantage of scholarships, friendship, nearby location as neighbors and reasonable tuition and living expenses. Cultural Counsellor Zheng Guojin was also present on the occasion highlighted the available educational opportunities for Pakistani students in China.
