Human Right activist visit Christian girl prohibited to use Muslim Scholl washroom
Lahore: November 13, 2015. (PCP) Mr. Khalid Shahzad, Minority’s rights activist and Director Dorothea center for special children, Professor Anjum James Paul and other civil society members visited Christian girl Sara Bibi aged 8 in Chak 228 G B Samundari Faisalabad studying grade 3 in Govt Girls primary school.
On Friday 6th of November 2015 she was taking permission for using of wash room In the school after 5 minutes her head teacher locked her in the same wash room because of non-Muslim. The Christians are not allowed to use same wash room which is used by Muslim girls.
Ground Reality:
The people of this village are former, labor and daily wages most of these people are not working. The under developing village is totally ignored, Mud roads and streets are always producing many disease.
People are illiterate and controlled by local clerics due to that the educational percentage is low as much low. Mostly villagers don’t like women education; many teachers are deployed by local political leaders for their own benefits. But they don’t like other religious minorities in main stream.
Facts:
The Muslims teachers dominated to the school with the help of local political activist. Due to their religious education they had in the mind ‘that other religion are not wise and only Islam is true’ due to this mindset the staff students and other people don’t want to accept other minorities as human.
When our team visited in that village the Christian community was afraid and not willing to registered complaint against teachers whom locked this younger girl as much as 30 minutes in the wash room for the punishment purpose, even they local Christian leaders build more pressure to the Sara’s parents for the settlement and forgiveness.
