SPECIAL EDUCATION CENTRES FOR NEWLY CREATED TEHSILS
Wednesday, October 28, 2015 - Lahore—Government of Punjab has decided to establish seven Special Education Centers in newly created Tehsils with the cost of 52.500 million and Rs. 27.721 million have been allocated for the establishment of computer labs.
This was disclosed by provincial Minister for Special Education, Asif Saeed Manhais while talking to a delegation, here today. He said that Special Education Department increase the enrollment of special children in the institutions of special education throughout the Punjab providing stipend, free uniform, text and Braille books, pick-in-drop facility, merit scholarship, boarding and lodging facility, teaching aids to special students.
He further said that as a result of these initiatives enrolment in special education institutions has increased from 17176 to 25764 which is 84 percent.
