Lakki schools’ heads to launch anti-corruption awareness drive
LAKKI MARWAT - The heads and teachers of public sector schools will launch anti-corruption awareness campaign in their respective institutions to sensitise students to play their role for eradicating the menace from society, said an official source on Friday.
He said that under a plan the National Accountability Bureau had decided to create awareness among masses especially among school children against the ill-effects of corruption. “The NAB has also intensified its efforts to eliminate corruption from the society to achieve the objective as it has joined hands with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education Department,” said the source.
He said that Lakki Marwat District Education Officer Haziqur Rehman had asked the schools’ bosses to hold anti-corruption walks on quarterly basis and display banners highlighting the message of ‘Say No to Corruption’ in their respective educational institutions.
“The schools’ heads have also been directed to arrange declamation, painting, poster making and essay writing competitions among the students on anti corruption theme,” he maintained. The source further said that the schools’ principals and headmasters would mark anti-corruption day on 9th of December as per the directives issued by district education department.
