SHC dismisses petition seeking action against KU management, Ayyan
KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) Chief Justice Faisal Arab has dismissed a petition seeking action against the University of Karachi (KU) management and model Ayyan Ali.
Faizul Hassan, chairman of a local welfare organisation, had filed a petition praying the court to issue order for action against the KU management for allowing the controversial model to deliver a lecture at the university.
The SHC chief justice while disposing of the petition remarked “the KU management has already taken action against those found responsible for inviting the model and the petitioner has no locus standi to be heard.
It may be pointed out that Ayyan had participated as special guest at a seminar organized by the KU Public Administration Department. The university administration has cancelled admission of one of the students and banned entry of another student into the campus for inviting the model without permission.
