Wah has 100 percent literacy rate: Chairman POF Board
"A better education system can transform the students into a good Muslims and good human being as well. Sir Syed Ahmed Khan was a visionary Muslim leader who rendered valuable services for the Muslims of subcontinent. We claimed that Wah has 100 percent literacy rate that is highest in the country. By virtue of high literacy rate, the students must realise the need of civic sense and character building."
This was stated by Lieutenant General Omar Mahmood Hayat, HI (M), Chairman POF Board while addressing the participants of prize distribution ceremony held at POF Auditorium, here on Thursday. He was the chief guest of ceremony. Chairman POF Board congratulated the teachers, students who won awards in recognition of their excellent performance during 2015. He remarked that acquisition of awards is reflection of the efforts of the students and their teachers. He urged the students and teachers to utilize modern techniques for acquiring knowledge which is available at a click of button at their door step.
Lieutenant General Omar Mahmood Hayat stressed upon the management of Sir Syed Education Society to keep pace with modern teaching skills and utilize the huge infrastructure exist in shape of laboratories and other facilities. Earlier, Brigadier Zaki ur Rehman Meer, President Sir Syed Education Society while presenting welcome address told the participants that presently seven educational institutions are working under the management of Sir Syed Education Society where the thousands of students are getting education.
These educational institutions have always been showing excellent results in Federal Board examinations since their inception. He told that in near future two more educational institutions are being added under the management of Sir Syed Education Society.-PR
