According to website of Board, the Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) was established in 1977 under Punjab Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act No. XIII of 1976. It hosts Intermediate and Secondary Examination in districts of Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum and Rawalpindi (The defunct Civil Division of Rawalpindi). It is one of growing boards across Punjab, trusted by students for itstransparency and strictness. BISE Rawalpindi co-ordinates with 9 other boards in Punjab, it along with other boards is striving for a better educational system under the governance of Punjab Government.

Website posts a beautiful message from the founder of the nation Muhammad Ali Jinnaj. The message said:

“My young friends, students who are present here, let me tell you as one who has always had love and affection for you, who has served you for ten years faithfully and loyally, let me give you this word of warning: you will be making the greatest mistake if you allow yourself to be exploited by one political party or another…. Your main occupation should be — in fairness to yourself, in fairness to your parents, in fairness to the state – to devote your attention to your studies.” (Dhaka on March 21, 1948).
