KARACHI: At least 25,000 fake employees have been identified in Sindh Education and Literacy Department while a list of 794 ghost teachers of posted in district Qambar-Shahdadkot have released.

Sources said, during investigation carried out by AG Sindh office and Education Department, about 25,000 out of 155,000 recorded employees have been identified as ‘fake’ in Sindh Education and Literacy Department.

They added that fake employees were identified by Deputy Accountant General Education, security and examination committee with the support of biometric system.

The education department has got published in the newspapers a list of 794 ghost teachers, whose actual appointment record, service book and education degrees were missing.

The officials, in the advertisement, have asked these teachers to appear in person and submit required documents.

Sources added the list was got published in order to fulfill the legal aspects to end job of the ghost teachers.

Other districts of Sindh are also preparing such lists for publication, they said.
