Unemployment can be dealt by skilled youth
LAHORE: National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) Executive Director ZulfiqarAhmad Cheema has stressed the need for providing technical education to the country’s youth.
Addressing a workshop at a local hotel on Friday, Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema said NAVTTC has introduced many reforms in the field of technical education. “Our youth wants to earn a respectable and honourable living by learning different skills and it is duty of the government and industrialists to provide them education of technical skills.
“The major challenge was that there was no demand in the market of the trades that were being taught earlier. But now NAVTTC will organise training programs according to the needs of the industry after consultation with the industrialists so that the youth may get jobs easily.”
“Now every student is being paid scholarship worth Rs2500 which will be increased very soon,” Cheema said and added the skilful people would be produced to cater needs of every sector of industry. “It will result in prosperity to the people, increase in production of industry, strong economy and great revolution,” he hoped.–PR
“The certificate of NAVTTC will only be granted to the deserving. It shall open doors of opportunities for them.”

On the occasion, NAVTTC DG Javed Nisar Syed also gave a detailed briefing about the new projects of NAVTTC to the participants of the seminar.
