FDE asks daily-wagers for verified degrees
Islamabad: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has directed daily-wage teachers of the capital city’s government schools to produce verified academic credentials.
Issuance of these directions is part of the ongoing process of regularising services of FDE daily wagers, including teachers.
According to a relevant official, all FDE daily-wage teachers having BA or BEd degrees will get BPS-16, while the cases of those serving in BPS-17 and above will be sent to the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) for consideration.
He said the daily-wage teachers had been given two weeks to get their degrees verified by the Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen, Higher Education Commission or other relevant institutions, and submitted them to the relevant officials for the processing of their respective service regularisation cases.
Currently, the FDE has 1,000 daily-wage staff members, both teaching and non-teaching, at its educational institutions in the capital.
