Boys lead in Multan, girls grasp top positions in Faisalabad
Multan/ Faisalabad—Boys surpassed girls in the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC), Examination here on Saturday. According to declared results, Muhammad Mohaymin Ali (roll no 709709) of City Science H.S.S. (Boys), Multan grabbed over all first position by securing 1046 marks while Usama Ali Cheema roll no (709206) of Punjab College of Information Technology Rasheedabad, Multan and Ahmed Jamil (roll no 708736) of Nishat College Lodhi Colony, Multan shared second position by securing 1042 marks in science group.
Hamza Awais (roll no 708591) of Punjab College bagged third position by obtaining 1038 marks. In pre-engineering group (Boys), Syed Muhammad Mustafa Kazmi (roll no 726144) of Kips College for boys, Multan stood first by getting 1032 marks while Maaz Ansari (roll no 724574) of Punjab College for Boys, Vehari got second position by clinching 1029 marks. Third position was shared by three students: Muahmmad Talha (roll no 726410) of Kips College for Boys, Multan, Abdul Wahab (roll no 724647) of Punjab College for Boys, Multan and Muhammad Taimoor roll no (727345)of City College for Science and Commerce for Boys, Multan by obtaining 1025 marks.
In general Humanities group (Boys), Owais Asghar a private student, stood first by securing 938 marks, while Muhammad Abdullah, of Govt College Burewala bagged second position by getting 926 marks and third position went to Muhammad Mujtaba Khaliq Bhatti of Govt Post Graduate College, Vehari. Mujtaba obtained 916 marks. According to statistical data, a total of 58 414 candidates appeared in the examination out of whom 32 499 got through showing a percentage of 55.8 pc. Addressing the Result Declaration Medal and Prize distribution ceremony at Multan Arts Council, Provincial Minister for Special Education Asif Saeed Manais said congratulated position holder students and their parents on the achievement.
Meanwhile, The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Faisalabad also an-nounced results of intermediate examination where three top positions have been grasped by girls.
Fatima Usama Roll No 206790 of Gojra Jinnah College Gojra for Women Toba Tek Singh stood overall first position by getting 1041 marks in the examination. Rabeea Mazhar Roll No 205463 of Chenab College for Women Jhang secured 1034 marks and remained on second position. Hafizah Sahfaq Yusuf Roll No 227585 of Punjab College for Women Jarranwala Road Fais-alabad secured 1024 marks and got third position in the examination.
Total number of 83,766 candidates appeared in the examination held in May last of which 45,983 were declared pass. The overall success rate was recorded 54.89 percent. In medical group, 12720 candidates appeared in the examination of which 10165 were declared pass showing successful rate 79.91 percent. In engineering group, 11,325 candidates appeared of which 7976 were declared pass. The successful rate was recorded 70.43 percent.
In general science group, 8025 candidates ap-peared of which 4412 were declared pass. The successful rate for this group remained 54.98 percent. In arts group, 41,439 candidates appeared of them 16,916 were declared pass which showed pass percentage 40.82 %. In Commerce group, 10257 boys and girls ap-peared in the examination of them 6514 passed the exam showed 63.51 % suc-cess rate. Later, chief guest awarded medals among posi-tion holders of all groups.
According to Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Bahawalpur notification, total of 42691 candidates participated in the annual exam and 22798 remain successful. Percentage of successful candidates was 53.40. First position was secured by Iraj Siddiq of Punjab College for Girls Rahim Yar Khan with un-precedented 1031 marks, while Khadija Mohib Khan of Govt College For Women Bahawalnagar, Zaid Mazhar of Punjab College for Boys Chishtian and Asad Ali of Punjab College for Boys Rahim Yar Khan secured second positions with their 1030 marks each. While Fatima Nisar of Punjab College for Girls Chishtian secured third position with 1029 marks.—APP
