60.61 % pass inter exams, as BISE declares result
A total of 1,52,981 candidates had appeared in the exam, out of which 92,720 passed. A prize distribution ceremony in the honour of position holders was organised by the Lahor BISE in which Provincial Food Minister Bilal Yasin was the chief guest.
The minister awarded cash prizes and medals to the position holders as well as their teachers. 1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders were awarded with gold, silver and bronze medals as well as cash prizes amounting to Rs 20,000, Rs15,000, Rs10,000 respectively. Overall top position holder was also awarded with a laptop. The provincial minister congratulated the Lahore Board on declaring the error free results.
Intermediate supplementary examination - 2015 will be commenced from October 23rd. In this connection, the candidates can send their admission form online with single fee till Septembe 21, with double fee till September 29th and with triple fee till October 2.
Addressing the function, Bilal Yasin said that government has allocated huge funds in education sector so that educational facilities could be provided to young generation. He said, “According to the vision of the chief minister, foreign study tours of prestigious universities are arranged for position holders every year so that our young generation could compete with the educated nations and make progress in science discipline.”
The minister said that government has also established endowment fund so that poor children could continue their education and play an active role in practical life.
