Annual increment of 300 teachers stopped for 3 years
Rawalpindi - Departmental action has been started against the heads of the schools and teachers of respective subjects in district Rawalpindi for showing poor result in annual examination of primary, middle, 9th and 10th class under the education boards.
In the first phase annual increments for 3 years in respect of 300 primary teachers have been stopped and their 3 to 5 years service has been confiscated. In the second phase action has been started against the teachers who have shown poor result in middle standard examination. About 7000 teachers are likely to face punitive action throughout Punjab.
All official formalities have been completed to stop annual increments of about 10000 teachers for showing bad result in annual examination for matric.
Meanwhile, postal services region Rawalpindi has set up survey teams for merging small post offices operating in the areas of Rawalpindi city and cantt into nearby major post offices. Post Master General Rawalpindi Region will monitor the performance of survey teams.
The merging of post offices is aimed at extricating postal department from loss and ensuring protection of life of the citizens and members of staff. As many as 84 post offices are functioning in Rawalpindi city and cantt and Post Master General Rawalpindi Region has evolved new policy for merging these post offices.
