Girls bag top three positions in SSC examination Lahore
LAHORE: Girls have once against excelled in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Annual Examination 2015, clinching top three positions, however third position was shared by three students, including a boy.

Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore on Friday announced the names of position holders at a ceremony at BISE office. Lahore Board Chairman Muhammad Nasar Ullah Virk, Controller Anwer Farooq, Secretary Faqir Muhammad Kayfi and other officials of Lahore board were present on the occasion. As per result, Shafaq Zahid of Divisional Public Girls High School (DPS) Model Town Lahore grabbed overall first position by securing 1,080 marks. Second Position was also secured by a student of DPS, Aleenah Mohsin, who secured 1,079 marks.
Whereas, three students got third positions. Ira Abid of DPS Girls Model Town Lahore, Ayesha Noor of Pak Garrison High School Nankana Sahib and Muhammad Imtinan of Government Central Model High School Lower Mall Lahore shared third positions by securing 1,078 marks. In Science Group (Boys) Muhammad Imtinan of Government Central Model High School Lower Mall Lahore got first position as he got 1,078 marks. Muhammad Hunzala of Islamic Public High School Green Town grabbed second position by securing 1,074 and Talha Bin Asad of Government Central Model High School Lower Mall Lahore got third position by getting 1071 marks.
In the Science Group (Girls) Shafaq Zahid of DPS Model Town Lahore got first position by securing 1,080 marks. Aleenah Mohsin of the same school who grabbed second position by securing 1,079 marks. Third position was shared by two students, Ira Abid of DPS Girls Model Town Lahore and Ayesha Noor of Pak Garrison High School Nankana Sahib got 1,078 marks. In the Humanities Group (Boys) Private student Usama Abid got first position as he scored 1031 marks where as Habibullah Ibrahim of Islamia Model High School for Boys Lahore got second position with 1018 marks. Muhammad Asim, a private student secured third position with 991 marks.
In Humanities Group (Girls) Rimsha of Farooqi Girls High School Lahore secured first position with 1,053 marks. Afshan Shahdin of Society Public Girls High School Lahore got second position as she scored 1,052 marks where as Amina Farooq of Farooqi Girls High School Lahore secured third position with 1,048 marks. The medal award ceremony for position holders will be held today (Saturday) at Alhamra Hall. Member National Assembly and Leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will be the chief guest on occasion.
