EDO Bashir Zahid Goraya told The Express Tribune on Tuesday that 21 AEOs had been fined a total of Rs88,000 for poor performance.
He said all AEOs had been instructed to improve performance standards. Goraya said the performance of 21 of the officials had been found to be far from satisfactory over the course of an evaluation meeting and they had been subsequently fined.
The EDO said Danaabad AEO Muhammad Usman had been fined Rs10,000, Khannuana AEO Muhammad Tahir Nawaz Rs9,000, Dijkot AEO Saifur Rehman Rs6,000, Satiana AEO Bala Khan Rs5,000, Awagat AEO Muhammad Akram Rs4,000, Tandlianwala AEO Muhammad Sarwar Rs4,000, Tandlianwala AEO Muhammad Sarwar Rs4,000, Thikriwala AEO Muhammad Nawaz Rs3,000, Narwala AEO Arshad Wahla Rs1,000, Chak Jhumra AEO Ansar Khan Rs1000, City-I AEO Hafeez Kausar Rs1,000, Jaranwala AEO Naseer Ahmad Rs1,000.
He said women AEOs had been fined similarly. Goraya said these included Dijkot AEO Umm-i-Kulsoom Rs12,000, Kanjwani AEO Samina Shirazi Rs7,000, Khannuana AEO Balqees Akhtar Rs5,000, Satiana Robina Kausar AEO Rs4000, Thikriwala AEO Nuzhat Jabeen Rs2,000, Awagat AEO Salma Firdous Rs2,000, Kanian AEO Salma Parveen Rs2,000, Bedian AEO Nausheen Naz Rs2,000, Bahlak AEO Robina Shaheen Rs2,000 and Narwala AEO Nuzhat Parveen Rs1, 000.
