ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has launched a special programme for the promotion of professional education in FATA and Balochistan.

Sources said 29 seats have been reserved for the students of FATA and Balochistan in medical colleges and 50 seats in engineering universities across the country. National Testing Service (NTS) will arrange the test in Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta and Karachi in October this year to select the candidates.

The HEC will also provide scholarships to the selected candidates.
