New policy: Ban on teachers’ transfer to be lifted

RAWALPINDI:
The education department has decided to lift ban on transfer of teachers in Rawalpindi district from first week of July 2015.
The decision was made for transfer of teachers of all cadres. The notification will be issued soon.
The teachers’ organisations have welcomed the decision terming it as a positive step. It will address the problems facing them particularly female teachers who are posted in areas far away from their home stations.
Provincial school education department has issued new transfer policy for teachers of the district. As per this policy the school heads and teachers showing poor results in primary, middle and matric examination will be transferred, whereas, widows and divorced teachers will be posted in schools close to their home town.
