Final arguments on school fee plea on 19th
LAHORE: Justice Ali Akbar Qureshi of the Lahore High Court ahs sought final arguments on June 19 on a petition seeking action against the administration of private schools charging fee of summer vacations at once from the students.
On Wednesday, on behalf of the secretary education, the court was informed that directive had been sent to administration of all the private schools for not collecting advance fee for three months of summer vacations from the children. The EDO (education) in his reply submitted that so far registration of three schools was cancelled who were collecting fee. He also stated that the notices had been issued to 230 schools for not following the directive about fee. A lady lawyer, Sheeba Qaisa, moved the petition submitting that the provincial government already had issued a notification and stopped the private schools from collecting fee of summer vacations.
