Private education institutes asked to beef up security
Islamabad—City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Israr Ahmad Khan Abbasi has asked private schools and colleges to beef up security by installing CCTV cameras and walkthrough gates to ensure foolproof security for the students and the staff.
While talking to a delegation of All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association here, the police chief emphasised the need to put up metal detectors, walkthrough gates besides hiring security guards to secure the education institutes, which could be the soft target of terrorists.
The delegation, meanwhile, apprised the CPO of the growing trend of drugs being used by the students and sought the police’s help to stem the menace.
The delegation also appreciated the police performance in maintaining the law and order situation in the city. The police officer assured the delegation that the police will extend all possible help to arrest the growing trend of drug use by the students.—Online
