Monitoring schools: Complaint cell set up at EDO’s office
FAISALABAD:
Education EDO Bashir Zahid Goraya said on Thursday that a complaint cell had been set up at his office to address complaints against private schools.
The EDO said Education Assistant Director Sardar Muhammad Sajid had been appointed in charge of the cell. He said complaints against schools which had not closed for summer or were demanding fees for three months could be registered here. He said administrations of private schools had been warned that strict action would be taken against them if they did not obey court orders and instructions of the Education Department.
“I told them that a number of monitoring teams have been constituted to check private schools.”
He said teams had been instructed to seal any school found flouting government orders. He said its registration would be cancelled.
He said parents were urged to reports schools which had not yet closed for summer or had asked for fees for this period.
