FORENSIC EDUCATION TO REDUCE CRIME RATE

Sunday, May 31, 2015 - Faisalabad—Manpower equipped with scientific based forensic education will help reduce a crime rate. This was said by experts while speaking at a seminar on “Forensic botany” arranged by the Department of Botany, University of Agriculture Faisalabad at New Senate Hall UAF here on Saturday. Addressing on the occasion, University of California USA Professor Dr Thomas L Rost said with the help of forensic botany in the United States, they were trapping many criminals as forensic education had gained an immense importance in reducing crime rate.
UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan called for integration of knowledge to face challenges of country. Department of Botany Chairman Prof Dr Abdul Wahid said forensic botany was imperative to arrest culprits to decrease crime rate.—APP
