SINDH TO IMPROVE TEACHERS’ ATTENDANCE THRU BIOMETRIC SYSTEM
Wednesday, May 27, 2015 - Hyderabad—Sindh Secretary for Education Dr. Fazalullah Pechuho has vowed to make the absentee teachers and employees of the education department bound to duty by ensuring their attendance through biometric verification system.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of bio-metric verification system here at the Directorate of Education Hyderabad Division on Tuesday, he said the system has been launched in Larkana, Sukkur and Nawabshah Divisions and so far the bio data of 20 thousand employees of the department has been verified through this system.
The provincial government is fully committed to provide quality education to the young generation so that they could be able to share the responsibility of progress and prosperity of the country as well as the province in future.
He said that introduction of biometric verifica-tion system will help in improving the educational standard in the province when the teachers will be available to teach the future generation.
Meanwhile talking to media persons, he said that the government has learnt about the closure of some educational institution in the province about which verification is in progress. He opined that during dictatorial regime, the government schools were used as the drawing rooms of the landlords; however, the present government is initiating strict action against the ghost schools and employees.—APP
