PEF appoints new subject specialists in 10 districts
RAWALPINDI - Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has deputed newly recruited 16 subject specialists in the partner schools in 10 different districts of Punjab.
These subject specialists will teach the subjects of science, mathematics and English to their students. These schools are partnered with the foundation under its Subject Based Support Program (SBSP) which is launched to provide master degree holder subject specialists to help improve the overall academic standards of these low-cost schools which are mostly situated in city-slums or in remote areas where students cannot afford admission in elite institutions, says a press release issued here on Sunday.
In this regard, an orientation session was held at PEF head office to sensitise the newly appointed subject specialists about free educational programs and their role in it. On the occasion, they were also given appointment letters.
MD PEF Dr Aneela Salman has congratulated the subject specialists and hoped that they would work hard to give quality education to their students as well as working hard to help improve the overall academic standards of the school. She said that SBSP is very useful in arranging quality education for the students. It also helps in fostering new educational concepts to them, she added.
PEF Director Bushra Saeed khan also spoke on the occasion.
