1 | Although the Arab traders used to come to this subcontinent from the far past but the political advent of Muslims began with the conquest of Sindh by Muhammad Bin Qasim in 712. Bin Qasim founded Muslim State here. Hundred of thousands people converted into Muslim influenced by the good treatment of the Muslims. Muslim rule continued for the centuries. After the death of Aurang Zeb, Muslim state weakened and British, Sikhs, Hindus, Jaats and Marhattas jointly eradicated Muslim state and occupied it. Sufis, count Sirajuddaullah and Sultan Tipu fight against British and at last laid their lives for Islam. British continued rule adopting the policy of ‘divide and rule’. When Hindus established their political party Indian National Congress, the Muslims also formed their own political party ‘All India Muslim League’ and began efforts for a separate home land for the Muslims of India. In the Constitutional Reforms of 1909, the demand of Muslim League for a separate home land was accepted. Based on Muslim enmity Nehru Report was extended in 1928 which was effectively responded by Fourteen Points of Quaid-e-Azam. Muslims acquired historic victory in the provincial and central elections of 1945 and 1946. British announced division of India on June 3, 1947 as a result of which God gifted Republic of Pakistan came into being. | |
