Education crisis
According to the advisor to the Balochistan Chief Minister on Education, Raza Muhammad Bareech, there are 12,500 primary, secondary and high schools in the province with over 22,000 teachers involved in the education sector. However, about 7,000 of these schools have only one teacher and classroom for children studying from grade one to five.
This raises questions about the educational initiatives of the chief minister. If he wants his tenure to be remembered, he should take up the crisis in the education department on an urgent basis and try to resolve it. He should improve the quality and increase the quantity of both students and teachers. Issues such as corruption, teacher absenteeism, nepotism in the education sector should also be dealt with.
