    Education bids

    According to media reports, the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) was handing out top positions and good grades to the highest bidders. This sale and purchase of grades was going on for years.

    No wonder the quality of education in Karachi has declined drastically – because anyone with a pocket full of cash can get an A-grade in intermediate examinations. Things like these have devalued education and proven that everything has a price. If this continues then we are headed towards a doomed future because it is not just about money, our entire future generation is at stake here.
