    GRADES ON SALE

    Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) was handing out the top positions and good grades to the highest bidders. This sale and purchase of grades was going on for years, no wonder the quality of education in Karachi has declined drastically because any one with a pocket full of cash could get an ‘A’ grade in Intermediate Examinations. So why study the entire year when you could just buy your desired Mark Sheet? And what could be worse, the prestigious Chairman of BIEK and the Controller examinations both are accused and questioned regarding this scenario. Things like this have devalued education and proven that everything has a price, if this continues then we are heading towards a foredoom future because it’s not just about the money, our entire youth is at stake here.
