CAN I SEND MY SISTER TO COLLEGE?
A country’s literacy level is determined by the education of the people living in some geographical area of a country. The countries with proven higher literacy rate, share equal proportion of education among males and the females.
I belong to a poor family living in the remote area of the Sindh Province and have a keen desire to send the youngsters in my family to the local school for education. But recent couple of incidents (abductions, murders and forced conversions) of Hindu girls has made me cry and compel to stop my sister to go out to the college. Social injustice, insecurity and fear of kidnapping are main reasons that are affecting not only the minorities but the Muslim families are also scared to send their kids, especially the girls away from home. There is an environment of continuous fear particularly in the minorities for the safety and security of their kids. Will the government take some remedial measures to check this fear before it engulfs the family members of the ones who are ruling the Province and the country, proclaimed to be a safe and secure place for all its citizens?
