High education costs
Post-secondary education means a lot for students nowadays. The expenses required to continue a particular field of education, affect a person and his family in a variety of ways. For pursuing different educational fields such as medical and engineering, tuitions are a must with high fee packages. For post-secondary education, students have to prepare themselves for certain examinations for getting admission to universities. Fields such as engineering and medical require MCAT and ECAT preparation.
Then comes higher education, which offers extensive and expensive programmes. The process of pre- and post-secondary education is quite an ordeal for students. The high tuition fees discourage students from applying or pursuing fields that offer costly programmes. On the other hand, parents support children to continue their education but it badly affects the household budget in many ways and makes students feel guilty. I do not have problems with all these tuition centres that make students well prepared and add much to their caliber, but all I mean to say is that charging Rs 30,000 per student for two to three months is too much when you have 80 plus students in a class, 12 plus batches a year and three or four branches in a city. Don’t make education a business, instead, make it purposeful.
