A brave teacher
We all are aware of the fact that the lack of basic education is one of the core problems of Pakistan and for that we often blame our education system and government officials but very few of us take responsibility to enlighten the children of our nation with education in the true sense. Mostly, people just blame others but never take any measures themselves to bring any change. But yesterday from news sources I came to know about a great teacher. Her name is Ms Gulshan Salomi, who travels about 75 kilometres from her Rasulpur Bhalliyaan village to a government school (Bajwat’s Government Girls Primary School) just to teach three students enrolled. This school lacks all the basic facilities such as classrooms, furniture, lights, drinking water, toilets and even boundary walls.
Despite all the hardships, she endures and teaches these three students diligently and honestly. I am delighted to know that we still have such great teachers who teach students for their passion not just for pecuniary rewards. This news has also given me new hopes about the prosperity of Pakistan. I would urge the government to provide proper facilities to public schools and teachers for the growth of educational culture in our country.
