Karachi—The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) and all other public educational boards of Sindh have utterly failed to check the menace of use of unfair means in annual examinations. There are groups as mafia, which are minting millions through sale of different tools for use of unfair means such as dictation of answers to the candidates over cell phones, paper sheets with printed answers and leaves of books carrying detailed notes.
The management of educational boards especially the BSEK has also failed to keep the shops of photo-copiers close within the limits of the examination centres under section 144 of the criminal procedure code. Conversely, it has also been learned that the paper of chemistry had been leaked to the candidates in Larkana, Ghotki, and the solved answer sheet was available against payment of Rs.150 to Rs.200. However, the ministry of education is implementing on ban on media for coverage of the entire situation.
